Responsibilities: · Act as the primary client-side liaison for a Siemens Desigo BAS project, ensuring smooth collaboration with the vendor. · Oversee and supervise vendor installation activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices. · Work closely with the vendor to review and refine design documentation, control strategies, and system architecture. · Design and specify I/O points, control panels, and control cabinet layouts to ensure proper system functionality and integration. · Review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to confirm system design aligns with automation requirements. · Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the HVAC system, its components, and interactions with the BAS for optimal performance. · Facilitate and participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical discussions to drive project progress. · Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements. · Support the development of testing and commissioning plans, ensuring a structured approach to system Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q). · Coordinate and lead site inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and validation activities. · Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during design, installation, and commissioning phases. · Ensure that all relevant documentation, including system drawings, specifications, SOPs, and compliance records, are maintained and updated. · Work with cross-functional teams including facilities, IT, engineering, and quality to integrate the BAS with other building systems. · Ensure compliance with relevant GMP, FDA, ISO, and local building codes and regulations. · Support training and knowledge transfer for internal operations and maintenance teams upon project completion.
Qualifications & Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or related field) or equivalent experience. · 5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, or industrial automation, preferably with Siemens Desigo. · Experience working in a regulated environment (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or life science industries) is highly desirable. · Strong understanding of BAS design, integration, commissioning, and validation processes. · Knowledge of Siemens Desigo CC, automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, OPC), and networking fundamentals. · Hands-on experience in C&Q, FAT/SAT, and system validation. · Experience in designing I/O points, control panels, and reviewing P&IDs. · Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and drive solutions. · Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders. · Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and regulatory compliance requirements related to BAS and automation systems is an advantage.

NeoDyne is also a gas network design framework supplier, playing a significant role in providing electrical and instrumentation engineering services for the on-shore Natural Gas Industry and Regulated gas utility sector in Ireland and the UK. Our expertise includes Compressor Station, AGI Electrical & Instrumentation design, Fiscal and non-Fiscal metering, and Cathodic Protection.
What will I be doing? Our graduate programme will be all about learning new and developing your existing skills. Over a two-year period, you will be placed in projects where you get to do meaningful work and contribute to the business. Projects could include HV/MV electrical design, power generation, PLC and SCADA automation, control logic programming, control panel hardware design, and site testing & commissioning. You will have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art engineering software for control and protection design and substation layouts. You will also get to use leading-edge power system modelling software to run steady state and transient electrical studies, including short circuit studies, protection coordination and grid compliance studies for proposed renewable generation. Generating technical documentation and dealing with customers will also be key parts of our graduate programme to help develop your soft skills. You will also have the opportunity to travel to customer sites to get involved in installation, testing, and commissioning.
