Key Responsibilities · Configure and implement Syncade MES workflows, master batch records (MBRs), and user interfaces tailored to site-specific manufacturing processes · Translate manufacturing process requirements into structured MES design specifications and recipes · Liaise with process engineers, QA, and operations to ensure that MES solutions align with regulatory and operational standards · Support integration between MES and external systems including DeltaV, SAP, and LIMS, ensuring reliable data flow and traceability · Develop and maintain validation documentation (URS, FS, DS, IQ/OQ/PQ), supporting audits and data integrity requirements · Provide ongoing system support and troubleshooting, including deviation handling, root cause analysis, and system performance tuning · Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance MES performance and usability

Key Responsibilities The E&I Project Engineer will play a critical role in the execution of E&I scopes across multiple projects. Responsibilities will include: · Acting as the technical lead for all electrical, instrumentation, life safety, and control systems within assigned projects. · Reviewing and approving design deliverables including schematics, layouts, loop drawings, datasheets, I/O lists, and related engineering documentation. · Supporting in-house electrical design efforts such as load calculations, circuit allocation, redlines, and development of drawings and specifications. · Participating in design reviews, FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), SATs (Site Acceptance Tests), HAZOPs, and model reviews. · Engaging with equipment vendors to review electrical and hardwired control system elements, including those for critical utilities and GMP spaces. · Supporting project commissioning and qualification (CQV) activities, including protocol review, troubleshooting, and system readiness verification. · Leading or supporting the preparation, issuance, and evaluation of bid packages for E&I scopes, and contributing to contractor engagement and oversight. · Liaising across project teams including design, automation, CQV, construction, and operations to ensure integrated delivery and alignment across disciplines. · Monitoring project schedule elements related to E&I systems, identifying risks, and ensuring timelines are maintained. · Coordinating field walkdowns and system handovers, supporting punch list resolution, and maintaining documentation through the lifecycle of each project. · Supporting the procurement of systems and spare parts in alignment with project needs and site requirements. · Contributing to installation planning and ensuring storage, protection, and retrieval of E&I equipment aligns with best practice.
Experience & Skills Required · Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification) combined with a trade background as a qualified electrician (FETAC accredited or equivalent). · Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences facilities. · Strong practical knowledge of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) system design, installation, and commissioning. · Demonstrated understanding of industrial electrical infrastructure including power distribution, UPS systems, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, earthing and bonding, and control systems. · Familiarity with applicable electrical engineering standards, safety regulations, and GMP/EHS compliance. · Proven ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support for E&I systems in live manufacturing environments. · Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills with a collaborative approach to working across disciplines. · Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office tools, and SharePoint. Position Summary NeoDyne is seeking a highly experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to support one of our key client sites on a contract basis. The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering automation expertise across the Dublin based site. This role is heavily design-focused and requires an engineer who can confidently lead the delivery of I&C system designs, while serving as a key liaison between the client’s engineering function, the main contractor, and specialist I&C vendors.
Key Responsibilities · Lead the design of instrumentation and control system hardware, including field instruments, control panels, junction boxes, and HMI interfaces. · Translate project and process requirements into detailed I&C design documentation, including loop drawings, block diagrams, system architecture schematics, and design specifications. · Act as the primary I&C technical point of contact for coordination with the main contractor, ensuring alignment on scope, sequencing, and technical integration. · Liaise directly with I&C vendors to manage design inputs, equipment specifications, submittals, and FATs. · Develop and maintain the I&C scope of work, bill of materials, and installation packages. · Participate in control panel FATs, oversee installation quality, and support mechanical completion walks. · Support loop checks and commissioning activities in coordination with site automation, electrical, and commissioning teams. · Ensure all I&C work complies with cGMP, EHS, and internal engineering quality standards.
Experience & Skills Required · Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. · Minimum 5 years’ experience in I&C system design and project delivery within pharmaceutical or high-spec process manufacturing environments. · Demonstrated experience leading detailed design of I&C hardware systems, from field instrumentation through to control panels. · Proven track record of coordinating with main contractors and managing third-party I&C vendors. · Proficiency with engineering drawings and documentation (e.g., P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring schematics). · Strong understanding of control panel safety standards (e.g., Arc Flash, panel segregation, grounding). We provide feasibility studies and system design for embedded generation projects including solar panels, wind turbines and battery storage. We also provide fully versatile and robust solutions for Balance of Plant (BOP) operations and Electrical Protection Systems. > Transmission & Distribution Within our Transmission & Distribution team, we design AIS/GIS substations from 20kV to 220kV and contestable build and non-contestable stations in the range of 40 to 550MVA CCGT. Connections include conventional and renewable Power Generation, Peaking, Battery Storage, DS3 and Solar PV plants and large demand loads such as data centres and process plants. We use leading-edge design and modelling tools from global technology companies to deliver innovative designs for our customers. NeoDyne is also a gas network design framework supplier, playing a significant role in providing electrical and instrumentation engineering services for the on-shore Natural Gas Industry and Regulated gas utility sector in Ireland and the UK.
