Having joined NeoDyne in 2001, Martin has played a key role in the company’s development from a small specialist engineering business into a multi-disciplinary engineering services group operating across the industrial, critical infrastructure and energy sectors. He was appointed Managing Director in 2021 and Group CEO in 2026.
While Martin’s background is in Digital Manufacturing, Industrial Automation and System Integration, his focus today is on shaping NeoDyne’s long-term direction, developing leadership capability, expanding into new markets, and ensuring the business continues to scale without compromising technical excellence, customer relationships, safety or culture.
Martin is the architect of NeoDyne’s Project Ascend strategy, a five-year growth plan focused on building a stronger, more capable and internationally recognised engineering services group through investment in people, leadership, innovation and operational excellence.
He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from University College Cork and an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Automation from the Engineering Institute of Technology.
Since joining NeoDyne in 1998, Kevin has played a pivotal role in the development of the company’s T&D capability, helping establish NeoDyne as a trusted partner for utilities, developers, data centres, renewable energy projects and large-scale industrial customers. He brings more than 25 years of experience in electrical network design, power systems engineering and critical infrastructure projects, having previously worked with PM Group.
Widely recognised for his expertise in substation design and power system studies, Kevin has led the delivery of complex projects across transmission, distribution and power generation networks. He has also been instrumental in supporting the integration of renewable energy technologies into electrical networks and has championed the adoption of advanced engineering analysis and modelling tools within NeoDyne.
Today, Kevin’s focus is on developing technical capability, leadership depth and scalable delivery systems within the T&D business, while supporting NeoDyne’s wider Project Ascend strategy and international growth ambitions.
Kevin is a Chartered Engineer and holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and Microelectronics from University College Cork.
David O'Sullivan is Managing Director of NeoDyne's Power Generation & Energy Systems (PG&ES) business, responsible for the strategic direction, growth and delivery of NeoDyne's engineering services across the power generation, energy and critical infrastructure sectors.
Since joining NeoDyne in 2012, David has been instrumental in building the company’s reputation for delivering complex power generation, energy resilience and integrated engineering solutions. He is widely recognised for his expertise in island power systems, private power generation and resilient energy infrastructure, particularly within the rapidly evolving Data Centre sector.
David has led the development of NeoDyne’s capabilities across utility-scale power generation, backup and prime power systems, microgrids, energy storage, electrical infrastructure, automation and control systems. His work spans some of the most demanding and highly regulated environments, including Data Centres, Pharmaceuticals, Energy, Fuel Storage and Industrial facilities.
With a background spanning electrical, automation and mechanical engineering, David combines strong technical expertise with a practical understanding of how complex engineering systems are designed, integrated and operated. Today, his focus is on expanding NeoDyne’s Power Generation & Energy Systems business, developing leadership and technical capability within the team, and supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy both in Ireland and internationally.
David holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College Cork.
Having joined NeoDyne in 2004 as an Automation Engineer, Brendan has played a key role in the development of the business over more than two decades, progressing through a variety of engineering, project delivery and leadership positions. He now leads a multidisciplinary team delivering automation, digital manufacturing, process control, MES, industrial software and Operational Technology (OT) solutions to some of the world’s most demanding manufacturing environments.
Brendan has extensive experience supporting Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage and Industrial customers, with a particular focus on highly regulated operations where quality, reliability, compliance and business continuity are critical. Under his leadership, NeoDyne’s I&DM business has continued to expand its capabilities across digital manufacturing, industrial data systems, cybersecurity, manufacturing execution systems and operational technology integration.
Today, Brendan’s focus is on developing leadership and technical capability within the business, expanding NeoDyne’s international footprint, and helping customers leverage technology, data and automation to improve operational performance and competitiveness.
Brendan holds a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University College Cork and a Diploma in Management from Technological University Dublin.
Since joining NeoDyne in 2002, Patrick has played a significant role in the growth and development of the Transmission & Distribution business. Following a period with the Liebherr Group, he rejoined NeoDyne in 2007 and has since established a strong reputation for delivering complex engineering solutions within highly regulated and safety-critical environments.
With more than 20 years of experience across the natural gas and utility sectors in Ireland and the UK, Patrick has been heavily involved in the design, development and integration of critical energy infrastructure. In recent years, he has been at the forefront of applying NeoDyne’s expertise to support the transition towards lower-carbon energy systems, including renewable gas integration, hydrogen-ready infrastructure, biomethane injection facilities, compressed natural gas (CNG) fuelling systems and carbon capture projects.
Patrick also leads NeoDyne’s Industrial Safety capability, supporting customers with machine safety, process safety and safety instrumented system solutions across a wide range of industrial sectors. His combination of energy infrastructure expertise and safety leadership provides customers with a unique perspective on the challenges of operating critical assets safely, reliably and efficiently.
Today, Patrick’s focus is on expanding NeoDyne’s capabilities in energy transition infrastructure and industrial safety, developing the next generation of engineering leaders, and supporting delivery across Ireland, the UK and future international markets.
Patrick is a Chartered Engineer, holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from University College Cork and is certified in Safety Instrumented Systems.
Having joined NeoDyne in 1999, Shane has played a central role in the company’s growth within the power generation, utility and critical infrastructure sectors. Over more than 25 years, he has led the delivery of complex engineering projects spanning conventional power generation, standby power systems, combined heat and power (CHP), utility infrastructure and energy resilience solutions.
Shane has extensive experience delivering large-scale electrical, automation and control systems for power plants, utilities and industrial customers. Throughout his career he has successfully managed multidisciplinary engineering teams, overseen major project delivery programmes and supported customers operating critical assets where reliability, safety and operational performance are paramount.
Recognising the changing demands of the energy sector, Shane has also been instrumental in expanding NeoDyne’s capabilities in renewable energy, distributed generation and emerging energy technologies. His practical approach to engineering, project execution and operational leadership has helped establish NeoDyne as a trusted delivery partner across the energy ecosystem.
Today, Shane’s focus is on developing engineering capability, strengthening delivery systems and standards, and ensuring NeoDyne’s Power Generation & Energy Systems business continues to scale while maintaining the quality, safety and technical excellence for which it is known.
Shane holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Limerick and maintains a number of professional safety accreditations.
Carl Pender is Operations Director within NeoDyne's Integration & Digital Manufacturing (I&DM) business, responsible for engineering delivery, operational performance and capability development across a diverse portfolio of automation and digital manufacturing projects.
Since joining NeoDyne in 2009 from global electronics manufacturing provider Sanmina, Carl has held a variety of engineering, project delivery and leadership roles, helping to build NeoDyne’s reputation as a trusted partner to customers operating complex and highly regulated manufacturing environments.
Over the course of his career, Carl has developed extensive experience in industrial automation, process control, manufacturing execution systems and operational technology solutions. He has successfully led the delivery of business-critical projects for customers across the Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Food & Beverage and Industrial sectors, with a particular focus on high-availability, fault-tolerant and functionally safe systems.
As Operations Director, Carl’s focus is on developing engineering capability, strengthening project delivery performance and ensuring NeoDyne continues to deliver high-quality solutions that help customers improve operational efficiency, product quality and manufacturing performance. He also plays a key role in mentoring future engineering leaders and supporting the continued growth of NeoDyne’s Integration & Digital Manufacturing business.
Carl holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Munster Technological University, a Diploma in Management from Technological University Dublin and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Matt brings over 25 years of management experience to NeoDyne, having held senior positions with leading automation and engineering companies, including Konektio (formerly InVMA Ltd) and Bilfinger UK. In his roles as Enterprise Customer Success Manager (Konektio), Head of Decommission & Defence and Head of Frameworks (Bilfinger), Matt has proven ability in strategic planning and programme delivery, with particular expertise in framework agreements.
Matt is a Chartered Engineer, an IET member and holds a degree in Electronic, Computing and Communication Engineering from the University of Bradford.
His expertise spans digital manufacturing, system integration, and industrial automation, making him a key driver of NeoDyne’s growth in North America.
