ISA Ireland Section Honours and Awards 2024: Recognising Excellence in Automation and Instrumentation
The ISA Ireland Section proudly hosted its 2024 Honours and Awards event on Wednesday, 15th January 2025, at Munster Technological University. This prestigious gathering celebrated exceptional achievements in the fields of automation and instrumentation, bringing together professionals, academics, and industry leaders to honour individuals who have significantly contributed to advancing the field.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Pioneer Award to Ger Hellen, Founder of NeoDyne. This esteemed award, recognising a lifetime of dedication to automation and instrumentation in Ireland, was presented by the Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Dan Boyle, alongside ISA Ireland President Mr. Patrick Bonner.
Under Ger’s leadership, NeoDyne has grown into a leading provider of industrial automation and electrical engineering solutions, serving over 300 companies, including large multinationals in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage manufacturing, and energy sectors.
Ger Hellen’s remarkable career has left a profound and lasting impact on the industry, influencing how automation and instrumentation are implemented across Ireland. His unwavering dedication, innovative mindset, and leadership have inspired the next generation of NeoDyne engineers and professionals, setting a high standard for excellence in the field.
